If you look after a friend, relative or neighbour that couldn’t manage without your support, then Signpost for Carers is here to support you. Signpost is a local organisation that offers a wide range of practical and virtual information and support to Stockport’s unpaid carers. We offer counselling for carers, support with benefit applications, opportunities to meet others in a similar position and, crucially, skilled and experienced staff and volunteers that are here to listen to you. If you are no longer caring for someone as you’ve become bereaved of the person that you were caring for, or your loved one is currently living in a care home, and you feel like you would benefit from talking to someone please still get in touch. We are a registered charity and all our services are free (although donations are always welcome).
We are delighted to be supported by colleagues at Heald Green Health Centre and Signpost’s Jennie holds a Carers Clinic on the last Tuesday of every month (please make appointments at reception). We also welcome new faces at our monthly drop-in, held on the second Thursday of the month (10am – 1pm) at Heald Green Village Hall.
Even if you’re not sure you are a carer, or how we can help, please come and see us or give us a call on 0161 442 0442. You can email us at firstname.lastname@example.org or visit www.signpostforcarers.org.uk for more information. We look forward to speaking to you soon.
